A great feature nobody has mentioned about this particular GPS is it works VERY well as a MP3 player. Using the Garmin audio out jack (with a cheap patch cord) into the front panel aux input of my indash head unit– I am able to carry hundreds of CDs on just a few SD cards. Ripping at 320kpbs– the sound quality is indistinguishly close to original source.
High quality GPS, MSN features, MP3,large POI database, Garmin online support and current DEEP discounts (Google it) = great value
luv it!! thanks for the tour. i’ve definitely made up my mind which system i’m going to buy…and this Tom Tom I got for Christmas is heading back to its home on the shelf at Sears.
I purchased a C580 for a birthday gift for my Mom– then after seeing how versatile it is– I bought one for me. Currently, these can be had for $180 new and are untouchable GPS units at that price.
Thanks Pcmedianet for an excellent overview of the features– great job!
very informative, i like it… i just purchased a brand new c580 from ebay and i cant wait when it comes. at least i know how to go around the device. one feature that wasnt covered was the bluetooth. i read some reviews that the c580 can be paired by a compatible bluetooth device. thanks again for the review.
Awesome review man!! Even though the device is a little over a year old it still seems to bevery competitive with the current GPS models..I am buying one soon!
Wish we had the MSN direct here in the uk
Great units these.I have the C550 & every one who’s seen it think it’s great, so much so 3 of my mates sold their Tom Toms & bought a Garmin instead.Great video demo.Cheers

is there a monthly fee for the MSN direct?
What kind of dash mount are you using? I was curious so I know which one to buy?
Great job! You should review more products.
